Dr Joshua Lee is a consultant nephrologist with expertise in general nephrology, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, and transplantation. He completed a combined degree at the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Commerce. He was awarded prizes for the top ranking Doctor of Medicine Research Thesis and meritorious cardiovascular research. He went on to complete his physician’s training at leading tertiary renal units including Royal North Shore Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Prince of Wales Hospital.

He has completed a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) through the University of Sydney. He is currently undertaking a PhD through the University of Sydney and the Westmead Institute of Medical Research, and has received a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Postgraduate Scholarship to support his research. His research focuses on genetic drivers of progression of chronic kidney disease and rejection of kidney transplants.

He has multiple first author publications in international scientific journals, and is an active member of the Early Career Committee in the Transplantation Society of Australia & New Zealand.
